hey everyone, I'm 38 &1. I started going into labor at 22 weeks and then had to have the surgical cerclage put in. I also went into labor at 31 weeks and then at 36 both times the labor was stopped. my first born daughter was born at 31 weeks and 2 days weighing only 3lbs 2oz and stayed in the nicu my second daughter was born at 33 weeks and pretty much the same thing nicu. but somehow I have made it to 38 weeks and don't get me wrong I'm so happy but now I'm 3 1/2cm and 50. the contractions are very strong but not frequent enough to push me into labor. And to top it all off on Friday the 13th I was in a pretty bad car accident. I refuse pain meds because of the side effects for the baby at this stage. so I guess I'm asking has anyone else been through something similar to my situation and how can I naturally induce labor to help open my cervix? thank you for reading my super long post.
@jsco thank you I'll try it. I've been trying everything from pineapples to sex to spicey Chinese food long walks and off reading with my best friends jeep. she's a very healthy baby already 6lbs and 7oz but I would really like her to make her entrance into the world now lol
I don't think anything actually induces labor. however, my midwife told me to take evening primrose oil you can take them orally or vaginally and they help soften your cervix. also a lot of women drink Raspberry leaf tea, it's also supposed to help. I recommend staying away from castor oil. Lots of people recommend that but it can cause serious complications and hurt your baby
if my babies are born between now(33 weeks) and 36 weeks and I'm having a c section and they have to go to the nicu do i get time with them at all or not until i am able to go to the nicu?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her ...
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
