So does it make me bad person that o think my boyfriends son should stay in his room while he's sick? He has a really bad sore throat and has been running a fever and there's some super bug going around that antibiotics aren't helping. I go back to work Monday and have no sick time so I can't afford to get sick and I don't want the baby or his brother sick either. I mean it's not like he's getting locked in a dungeon he has a tv, video games and all that stuff. Just at least until he goes 24 hours with no fever. I feel kinda bad about it but at the same time I don't want him lying all over the furniture spreading germs. And he chews on everything so I think better safe than sorry.

I think it depends on how old he is really. if he's too young I'd say it's kinda mean to have him without human interaction. but my mom used to do that to us, if we were sick we stayed in our rooms and she'd check on us every so often & bring soup. so it doesn't sound horrible

he should be in his room resting too. Even when my mom didn't have little kids or had sick time I was banished to my room for being "sick" lol

I mean he's 11 and I was going to load the mini fridge up with popsicles and Gatorade. Rent him a few movies bring him soup and all that. I mean it's not exile lol. Just love you.. from your room. Haha

or if you have a backyard that's safe he could go back there where you can see him. sunlight & fresh air will do him good.

Oh we live in the middle of nowhere so it would be fine but it's rainy and nasty outside. He didn't seem to mind. He's like you mean I can stay in my pjs and sleep or play video games all day? I'm like sure can! @mamalotus,
