How to Get Your Baby to Take a Pacifier or Bottle?

@yesenia13, no formula. He's taking pumped milk while I'm at work and then boob at night. We still do 1 bottle a day & boob on weekends until I feel he's more comfortable with the bottle.

I'm going to say chewing is a good thing. That is exactly what my son did to the pacifier in the beginning as well as the bottle nipple. Just moved it around in his mouth and chewed a little, now he's taking both.

Lots of wasted milk, & alot of crying cause we try 1 feeding a day out of bottle while im still here... I will check that bottle out.

Your baby accepted formula? If so what kind?the mam one i just tried today & she seems to chew on it so maybe thats a sign that she will accept soon. 😐

Also, same issue with pacifiers, he finally took the MAM brand.

I went through this exact same thing. We tried 8 different brands and came across the Bare brand (we found at Babies"R"Us). He had trouble w/that one too but showed signs of trying to take it more than any other so we decided to attempt to feed him at least once a day with that bottle while I was still home. It took a while, and lots of wasted milk, but he has finally taken to it. My first week back to work my husband fed him w/an eye dropper so he wouldn't go without (thank goodness I started back w/half days & fed him as soon as I got home) but a week into me being at work my husband texted that our son finally just took to it and had 6oz at one feeding) Talk about overjoyed!!! He just keeps getting better & better w/it every day. Maybe give the brand a try. Also, if your baby has a shallow latch like mine, I'd recommend the easy-latch nipple. The other one is the perfe-latch nipple if you want to check that out too. Good luck!!!

Try the munchkin latch bottles... the nipple is designed to be like a boob my daughter took to it right away

I dont wanna take her off the boob completely but i want her to accept that she can take bottle too; 😩 its been a whole week and nothing has changed . Tried every bottle in the market!!

Keep trying. She will eventually accept it when she see's you're refusing to start off with the boob
