My baby girl is 2 weeks old, and still sleeps for hours at a time, which I should be grateful for, but when I say hours, I mean she could sleep 6+ hours. I hate having to wake her up to feed her but her pedi says not to let her go more than 4-5 hours without eating. How can I get her on a better wake/eat schedule? She was born at 5-10, last weight check, 10 days ago she was 5-12

i start to pump half hr before her feeding, i then wake her up to change her diaper and then I feed her, we feed her about 2-2.5hrs max 3. That's our routine schedule

I would try to wake her up every 3 hours to feed. Rub/pat her back and tickle her feet to keep her up during feeding.

So my baby is 8 weeks old and is thriving with weight gain each doctors visit. So here is my question: around 4-5 hours at night for sleep she wakes up every night and sucks on her thumb. (She finally this week likes it to soothe her during nap times) her eyes are still closed and she moves around and sucks it. I wake her to feed her. My question is should I just let it go? And see if she is just soothing herself to sleep? I don't want her to stave by morning if she sleep a couple of more hours. What would you guys do?

Waking to feed? My dd is a week old and I was told by her doctor to wake her every 2 hours during the day and 3-4 hours at night to feed her. For the first 3 days I did that and when I would wake her fit a night feeding she was fussy and usually wouldn't go back to sleep and would want to nurse constantly until about 9 am. I tried not waking her last night and she slept beautifully! She woke up around 6 hours in and ate then slept another hour or so and ate again. Is it ok to let her sleep?

So we got in super late last night. Had to carry my daughter to bed. She had the nerve to try and wake me up at 7:30am saying she wanted breakfast. Smh (She wanted me to fix her a spread)🙄 I told her to choose some cereal. I'll fix her a bowl. Of course there wasn't any cereal that she wanted today 😴 I told her spoiled ass to figure it out and I went back to sleep 😂🤣 She ate an eggo.
