Are you supposed to give a baby water??

Ok that what I thought I letting my friend who is older watch my baby today while I work and she feeding him water while she warm up his milk she asked me why I don't give him water

my SOs grandmother kept telling me to give mine water. a lot of people used to do it but its not necessary @tipatl

Babies never need water! If they are on formula then no water. My MIL always tries to give my infant water and it scares me to death

Giving them water too early makes their stomach not process breastmilk and formula the way it should @tipatl @jaquanandbrysonsmommy
