I need advise as soon as you ladies can! me and my ex split up we have a 1 year old son together. he is a huge dead beat but a big facebook dad but that's beside the point. I met an amazing man and we are so happy together my son adores him. the flip side is he smokes pot BUT never around me or my son or beings it into the home. and the father of my son likes to use that to scare me saying since he smokes ill get full custody easily. I live in Nebraska is there any momma out there that can ease my nerves. ill pick my son over anyone but I want to known the facts before I cut him off. thank you mommas

all you can really do is go talk to a family lawyer and ask them what the law is on that type of thing and go from there.

I worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor for adolescents here in MO. I called CPS on a family once because my kid was trying to get sober and they were leaving pot in the house and my kid knew where it was (which usually led him to get back into his DOC). They told me unless they were leaving it on the coffee table or something in plain sight where any young kids could get to it; there was nothing they could do.

of he's not bringing drugs around, not being high while with your son I'm sure you're ok. I don't know the law in your state but if your child is in his care and he's high that's a big nono, and if he brings drugs into the house or even has them on the property that isn't good either (like keeping them in his car) if he comes over and acts like a normal part of the family I don't see why it would be an issue
