We have used cloth since our first day home so 4 months I absolutely love it and so does my son. After lots of brands and styles our fav is prefolds with a boingo. I have used GMD, diaper rite, and ozocozy. They all take a while to get broken in so start washing early I also use flour sack towels with a boingo but have to use 2 at a time. For covers I mostly used rumparoo as a nb with wahm fitted or diaper rite fitted and hubby used gmd fitted. Then we moved on to pocket diaper but I wouldn't stuff the pocket and use as if it was a cover with a top quality prefold this can work amazing bc I change baby pretty often so the pee don't even absorb to the cover( which is really a pocket) then for night o would stuff the pocket with the nb insert and use a small prefold. Couple things I find helpful is if ur breastfeeding the poop is safe for washer but I have my own system down which is placing a cloth wipe to catch the poop helps keep ur prefolds nicer. And the sun will be your best friend u need a clothes line. And I don't let my diapers sit in a wet bad or Paul I have soapy water in a 5gal bucket in his room at end of changing table and all my dirty diapers and wipes go in there to soak then I lightly rice slash poop off with a rinse before I put in washing machine I'm happy to answer any questions u have just pm me@babybowers,
