so I'm pregnant with my third baby I have 2 boys age 5yr and 8 months. my question is how do people feel if for some reason I did have another boy and had a baby shower? my 8 more than old was a big boy and skipped all the 0 to 3 month clothing and 6 to 9 month clothing so I would have nothing if it is a boy. so my question is would it be selfish of me to have a baby shower??? I didn't have one with my youngest bc we had the money at the time to buy things. plz help?????

in think you should have one if you want one :) your friends will want to give you something anyway, this way you can tell them what you need

baby showers are celebrations of the welcoming of the new baby! you shouldn't feel selfish at all! Have your shower!

yes I want one! since I didn't do one with my last and this will more than likely be our last baby. just didn't want to feel selfish or greedy. does that make sense?

Some people do "welcome to the world parties" after they have their baby as opposed to a baby shower that way everyone gets to meet the baby and they usually bring diapers and other essentials

@martinadennison16 do what you want! baby showers are about celebrating baby!!! i had a sip and see with my last just and will again, only because my husbands friends and family can come (mostly men and their wives) and not feel weird because he thinks baby showers are for women lol and there are booze lol

@martinadennison16 its after baby is born, its a party to celebrate baby and usually everyone brings diapers or formula (if ff) soap, essentials... but ive only done it that easy instead of a baby
shower because i had/have everything i need

I had a shower with all 3 of mine and my sister just had her 4th shower. Each child is different and deserves a party just like the rest. My family loves giving showers and making each child feel like they were special and not just a number. Give that baby a shower! Friends and family can make up their mind on what gifts they think are appropriate and let them know what you have vs what you need.

see I have all.most everything other then clothing and diapers. my son skiped his 0 to 3 and 3 to 6 he's 8 months and wear size 18 months Lol. that why I think I may just put on the invite 0-3 and some 3-6 clothing and mainly diapers and wipes
