Becoming a mother has made me wonder even more how a parent could abuse a child. Growing up in an abusive household was hard. But now as a mother I have different perspective of what my reality back then was and what is was, was completely wrong. Both parents have unconditional love for their child. But how can a father(or mother) who has such unconditional love could hurt that child is beyond my comprehension.  Child Abuse is still a very big problem not just the whole world but mainly here in the United States. While there are organizations that will help most victims feels trapped by their abusers this goes for women and child abuse. Whether the abuse is do to a mental breakdown, alcoholism, or even drug abuse this still doesn't give a parent the right to abuse a child or a man to abuse a woman. My name is Madison brockwell I am eighteen I have a two month old daughter and amazing husband. I suffer from ptsd from 14 years of steady abuse from my father. I now want to make a difference.
