Yeah, a hot toddy (hot water, lemon, honey and whiskey) is folk medicine, and that's the same principle. I always have one when I have a cold and it really helps... also, I love bourbon and whiskey, so any excuse to indulge in a little nip! 👅

lol @ciraclesmiracle I put a little in so it help me sweat 😰 something my mom use to make when I was teen .. she would put a couple of caps in my theraflu .. and would have me sweating . wouldn't have a cold more than two days .. I'm thinking she got this idea from her mom 😏
