Has anyone had really bad pelvic pain start in the second trimester? It hurts to get up from sitting and especially to get out of bed. 😭 any tips on elevating this pain?
Oh--and in regards to getting out of bed: rather than getting out with one leg and then the other; try putting your knees together and swinging both legs out of bed at the same time. That helped me a lot. If I got out of bed one leg at a time I would get a shooting pain that felt like I was getting a zap of electricity. Ouch!!!
@ciraclesmiracle, thanks! I just get so worried and even this morning cooking breakfast my hip joint started burning where it normally hurts. I'm just ready for the baby go grow and get out of me. 😂
It sounds like Pelvic Girdle Pain--I had it during my pregnancy and it's very uncomfortable. I would get shooting pains when I got out of bed or the car. It's really common, but unfortunately there's not a whole lot you can do for it. The best thing you can do is to remain moderately active (I walked a lot), but avoid heavy weight-bearing activities and things that aggravate the pain. It helped me a lot to sleep with a pillow between my legs to keep my pelvis in better alignment. The good news is that it resolves on its own after pregnancy. I got some tingly nerve pain, and it got worse as the baby got bigger, but it's totally resolved now. It did take a few months for the tingly/numbness in my leg to go away, but now at 6mo postpartum it's all better.
Having some pretty intense constant lower back pain and maybe super light contractions. But can't tell because the back pain is way over powering contractions so I'm walking around my room to see if they get worse.
So I keep feeling these lil sharp pains on my right side. You do get pains like that before you start your period right.? Remember I had that dark brown spotting for a few hours last month on the 22. My period suppose to start today.
pain isn't getting better.. If anything Ita getting worse.. probably making a hospital trip later today..
Woken up to the worse back pains ever I had to get on all fours for it do it but it keeps coming back😩😣and it hurts to walk😩
is it possible to have contractions without pain? my stomach gets really tight alot, but I have no pains.
@fit_mom, that's TOTALLY what happened to me. It started with pain right in the middle of my pubic bone (like a dull achey feeling), and then as the baby got bigger he started pressing on a nerve inside my pelvis and it caused shooting, tingly pain from my right hip socket down to my knee. I had a pretty easy pregnancy, but that pain was nagging and annoying and it would catch me off guard!
