36 week apt today with Velamentous Cord Insertion. That means I'm seen weekly (like most moms) but with weekly NST and weekly growth Ultrasounds. Lots of missed work but anything we can do to make sure little June Bug isn't having any blood flow issues in the umbilical.
Well, the PLAN was to induce me, and try to turn him for me to deliver, but my water broke at 38 weeks with Merle (my 1 yr old) and so they done a c-section. It was my first so I was freaked out.
@randaroo if you don't mind me asking, how did everything go with birth? Did you do a c-section or vanginal? VCI is when the jelly around the umbilical cord stops shy of the placenta. The veins go in the placenta like shallow tree roots.
No. My third child was breech so I was considered high risk. That was literally the only thing wrong. So I guess that's just how they done things because they done it with my last two pregnancies. It was a high risk specialist, so that I know of, they done that to everyone that went there. That's why I thought it was a bit much. Twice a week for 10+ weeks? That's just an insurance scam. But, at least I got to see my baby more than the average person! What exactly is VCI by the way? Whatever it is, I will keep you in my prayers.
A c-section is a huge possibility for me plus baby girl is currently breech so I am always curious about others birth stories. Thanks for sharing!
