My very closest friend has been slipping away since I told her I was having a baby. She knew for a year we tried to get our little tiny baby, but I could so feel her disappointment when it really happened for us.
I didn't think this would happen with her, but life changes when babies come! Not everyone is going to be able to accept the changes and demands babies place on a friendship. Time to cling to the friends who have embraced and rejoiced for this new blessing with me.

I've had so many people get mad at me for being pregnant. "we started being friends with you because you didn't have kids" .. well fuck off then. Alex's friends keep trying to tell him his life is over because now he has a baby and blah blah.. clearly they weren't that great of friends
@nhenson23 this is what I think happens when people live their lives thinking everything is about them, then something comes up to show life isn't about them.

girl my friend offered to throw my last shower so I said OK but then she wanted me to pay for half of everything and help her plan it knowing I was high risk n didn't need the extra stress so I told her my other friend (who has never done anything to her) would help her plan n pay for everything then she threw a fit n said she got money n she don't need help I'm like really so then she kept calling me saying she was getting too busy n she couldn't do it anymore like 2 weeks before n still didn't have a venue I'm like wth so we fell out pretty bad then she ended up coming to the shower I ended up throwing for myself n had attitude cause of some of my other friends I invited that had no problems with her but she is a jealous person n hates sharing me which is ridiculous...I'm so over trying to bend over backwards for her just to get pushed to the side smh
@nhenson23 my best friend teamed up with my sister in law to throw my first baby shower, but via the event invite she listed only herself as the host, when the shower wasn't even her idea. My 2nd baby shower we were revealing my baby's name and gender. She told me she wasn't coming bc work was really stressful and she needed her weekend to relax. Really? 2 hrs of your weekend was such a taxation of effort? Yeah, I don't understand why some people can't commit themselves to be better friends!
I know how u feel my best friend messed up my baby shower last time and this time she canceled the day of saying she had a bday party to go to all of a sudden...but I'm her maid of honor in her wedding in Jamaica next yr I'm starting to rethink going n being there for her cause she never seems to be there for me
that's sad. just keep doing what you think will make you and your baby happy.
