Is it normal for a 2 week old, ebf baby to always be hungry? I feel like all I do all day is feed her and I can't get anything done.. I just want to make sure this is normal and that she is getting enough to eat!
This might be different for your baby but I can tell when my daughter is done eating because she either pops off herself or I can't hear her swallowing anymore. If I let her she would just keep sucking and using me as a human pacifier lol.
your baby should have about 8-12 feeds per 24 hrs. every time they eat make sure that they get a full feed every time. that way they don't turn into a snacker eater when they do that they don't get the rich hind milk that really helps them grow. I suggest reading the books tracy hogg's the secrets of the baby whisperer and on becoming babywise. at 2 weeks they should be eating every 2 1/2 hrs or so
yup very normal. my guy still eats lots during the day. luckily he only wakes up once at night to eat now
Yes it is normal, and what you are feeling is normal too. A lot of moms feel like they aren't producing enough because all babies do the first few weeks is cluster feed but its actually a good thing because when the baby feeds like that they are letting your body know how much milk you need to produce. I know it's hard and time consuming but you're doing great momma! If she is having plenty of wet diapers she is just establishing your milk supply :)
Yes completely normal. My first nurses constantly. I felt like I was nursing her more than not
