@peaceandhippielove, my son's per gave the go-ahead at 4 months, but said because he was able to go 2-3 hours between feedings and was doing well on his weight gain I didn't have to. I decided not to, and I was talking to my husband's friend. He is a doctor of public health and he said that it looks like the APA will be changing their recommendation to breastfeed from 6 to 9 months, so I will probably nurse for a few more months.

@peaceandhippielove way far more advanced then most baby's his age already sitting up on his own and trying to crawl.. and he is always hungry after I nurse him..

@brafordfamily22, may I ask why the doc approved? My aunt thinks before 6 months is too early because of immune system but I don't think so for my daughter. She's already double her weight and constantly hungry again like she's not getting enough anymore

we started at 3 months and yes Dr approved he's now eating fruits too
