hey ladies I'm curious to know how some ladies have had scans earlier than 12 weeks I always thought the first scan was…

I had my first scan at 11 weeks and 5 days

aww that must have been great @dannielle1996 I've seen a few on here as early as 6 weeks can't wait to see my little one 😊

I had scan at 6 weeks due to getting pregnant less than 4 weeks after miscarriage, think they only do early scans for a medical reason!xx

They do early scans if you have bleeding etc:) I had my 1st scan at 11 weeks +1 because my midwife thought I was further along...told her I wasnt :) But sent me for one anyway xx

I had scan at 4 weeks and then at 6 and 8 weeks due to them thinking I had an ectopic pregnancy, but it usually is around the 12 week mark maybe a few days before or after, but they usually take you for a scan down the early pregnancy department, if you've even had a ectopic pregnancy before or miscarriage, @nailah x

with my oldest my first scan was at 6 weeks cos I started bleeding. this one I was 10 weeks cos the midwife thought I was 12 weeks I had to go back 2 weeks later for another

I had a lot more scans with my first because I had gestational diabetes but my first one was around 12 weeks this time I'm going for a glucose test on Wednesday and I'm roughly around 6 weeks

@nailah, I had scans at 2-3 weeks, 4-5 weeks and 7-8 weeks before I got my 12 week scan because I lost two babies last year so they wanted to make sure everything was going well xx

@nailah, had a difficult pregnancy with pain but gave birth on the 1st of December to my little boy..had a bad labour but totally worth it, he's amazing 😍😍xxx

I miscarried last year and when I asked for an early scan I got told that they only do it if you have had more then 3 miscarrages on a row, as we wanted to make sure everything was ok we paid to have a private scan, but then had the one on th NHS(through midwife) at 12 weeks + 2 days @nailah x

I had to go to 3 scans before my 12 week scan as I only have one ovary and tube and was at high risk of ectopic pregnancy
