I'm writing this to vent. Money problems is kind of a "don't talk about " subject . I don't want to vent to my friends or family about this because I don't want them to think I am asking for money. My husband and I are having money trouble. He made some bad decisions in his early twenties. Long story short he owes the IRS a lot... as well as for a court summons to pay off credit card debt he never paid off (that's a whole different story I will get to ) . The IRS took out more than half his paycheck this month. We are short $500 for rent. Our rent was due the 1st. My husband called a few weeks ago to make sure that this didn't happen and they agreed to go on a payment plan and only take out 50$ a paycheck. Well that obviously didn't happen. Now the question is will we be evicted ? I'm not sure.
Second story. My husband decided to keep a secret from me . The fact that a police officer came to his parents house summoning him to court for December 7th for unpaid debt . I found out because his mother casually brought it up. Husband yelled at his parents for asking about it and to mind their own business so now his father isn't speaking to him. I don't know how much debt as he wouldn't answer my questions.
I am a stay at home mom and can't afford to work because of child care costs. Right now though I'm just sitting here crying . I know it could be worse I could be homeless or not have any food in the fridge. I am so grateful . But the fact is all of this financial trouble is because of my husband's poor decisions before he met me and now my son and I are paying for his mistakes . I just don't know what to do anymore.

@mdomke22, yeah my credit isn't great I think like a 650 . Husbands is obviously horrendous . So I looked up laws in Maine and I guess rent is not eviction late until the 15th . His next paycheck is December 14th. We would be cutting it close but I think we can make it happen .
@firemanswife yeah that is the reason because after we got home that night I went in the bathroom to text my mom and I heard him on the phone saying "I didn't want her to stress she has enough to stress about " I just wish he was honest with me from the beginning before we even got married . Because like you said once we are married it becomes my business too. I'll sit down with him tonight after work . I'm kind of scared to find out how much money he owes because I'll probably have a heart attack😦 , but I love him and we will get through this .
I would pray and not agree with what's going on. Makes a big difference. Asking for helping isn't bad than not asking for help .
it will get better, stand by your man lift him up in this uneasy situation, I'm pretty sure he didn't want you to worry because it will stress you out, just sit down again and tell him that you will be there when things get ruff, since that's your husband it's not just you and the baby it's all 3 of yall that has to deal with the issue, be supportive, ask for help if you need too, we all fall down and need help! @mamahoude
how is your credit? maybe a bank will let you take out a loan? or have you been late on rent before? maybe your landlord can give you guys a break if you talk to them about the situation... sometimes they're more lenient if your open with the communication
