Being a mom is such hard work when will I ever get the hang of this😔
@jeanetta25, thank you very much I'm confident she will get better. I still love my job as tough as it is.😔
@ciraclesmiracle, I swear I thought I could have it all together in the beginning I was so determined so happy I wasn't pregnant anymore and I felt so relieved and energized until I couldn't sleep and eat properly. Now it's all catching up to me and I'm disappointed because I had higher expectation for myself. Idk this shall pass
Yea well she's still very new it's hard but she'll become more independent soon and you'll be able to do more . Just hang in there your an awesome mommy and wife even if you don't feel like it at times !! Motherhood is the hardest most unselfish never ending job there is . @desi720
@ciraclesmiracle, some days are better than others yesterday was pretty bad today not so much. She is just a real picky child it seems
@jeanetta25, I got all those things and she doesn't last long in them I let her cry sometimes until it's really bad and I have to soothe her until she falls asleep. If I try putting her back in one of her things she wakes up and the process starts all over again until she is hungry.
I'm 3 months in and still running around with my head chopped off
@mami2d, if I can do all of that in a day I will feel much better about myself. That's what I consider a good mom and wife right now I'm not living up to those standards. My daughter is the only thing I take care of but my fiancé and house and even myself gets neglected. Trying to learn how to create a balance with everything.
@desi720, have you heard the term "the fourth trimester"? If you haven't, look it up. It's the 3 months after birth. Some babies have a harder time adjusting to the world outside the womb. As weird as this sounds, I think my son was also really frustrated as a newborn. As he has learned new skills and become more independent he has become such a happy baby.
I brought swings and rockers for my princess so I can do just that I do not plan on holding her all day just because and I am not letting anyone else sit and hold her all day either il tend to her needs and give her the extra attention of course but at some point she's going to be sitting down rather she's still awake and fussy or sleeping peacefully . You'll get it it's very new to you give your self time to adjust 💜💜 @desi720
@desi720, no way. And all babies are different. Your daughter sounds exactly like my son was--super high maintenance--cluster feeding and wanting to be held constantly. How can you get anything done when you're doing 12 45-min nursing sessions every day?!? My friend's son is just a few weeks older than my son. He nursed every 2 hours, would sleep in his swing, didn't care if he was being held or not and my friend could get so much done. Meanwhile I was pulling my hair out in frustration and crying every day because I thought my life was going to be like that forever. My son is happy as can be now. I can put him in his bouncer chair or on his playmat and cook dinner or sweep the floors. He was just a really unhappy newborn.
@jeanetta25, thank you it's going to take some getting use to
It'll get better !! Each month to each year is a learning experience !! My son is 7 and each time he goes through something new it's a learning experience I question did I do that right did I make the best choice am I doing this enough or this to much . You honestly learn as you go !! When my son was a baby I learned that as long as he was bathed and fed it was okay to put him down in his seats and swings and take care of house even if he cries cause there nothing wrong with letting them cry sometimes !! If you have to constantly hold them 24hrs you'll never get anything done and they'll become spoiled to the point that you won't be able to do anything. Try and rest when she rest and when she's up and tooken care of do what needs to be done around the house . If your not comfy with her crying while you take care of what's needs to be done try baby wearing so you can still cook and clean and tend to her @desi720
@ciraclesmiracle, wow I thought it was just me seems like everyone is super mom
Honey I can't always fold close. but the close are clean, my house is clean, dishes are wash6y6yed, the baby's & myself have had our bathes & dinner is ready for my husband when he gets off of work everyday! Please take an account what you are doing
@desi720, that's how the first 6-8 weeks or so were for me. I really enjoy cooking, but I didn't cook a single meal for the first month. Not one. And then month 2 I would get, like, a frozen lasagne and a bag of salad mix and that was as much "cooking" as I could manage. I barely left the house the first month. It felt like all I did was nurse baby. And he stayed up sooooo late and didn't take good naps. Then my son started getting a little easier--going longer between feedings and not demanding to be held 24/7. And I started being able to do a little bit more every day. I still have good days and bad days. The laundry is a constant battle to keep up with, but I cook dinner most nights and do a decent job keeping the house up. I did not enjoy the newborn phase at all. I loved my son, but it was so hard. Hang in there. It will get better. ❤️
@mami2d, I feel like I need a break but I don't want a break I don't want to be away from her. I guess I will be forced to have a break once I go back to work in January. Then il have no choice and maybe then il feel better
@ciraclesmiracle, right now I think I'm doing a horrible job. I don't even cook and clean like I'm suppose to. Ppl make it look so easy I feel so weak for sucking at this. Her room needs to be cleaned laundry needs to be folded. All I do is physically care for her feed, change and bathe. And the moment she is off my breast I just sit on my ass and do nothing. I feel so guilty but I'm so tired all the time.
I have been a mommy for years & I'm still learning myself! So please do stress out to much! Please try to enjoy motherhood & your baby!
You will. All of a sudden one day you turn a corner and it gets so much easier.
@ciraclesmiracle, 😂ha ha that makes it all better thanks
