Found the cake I want for Siah's birthday....he loves Paw Patrol so what do you guys think?
You definitely don't want to eat it, it'll break your teeth lol. It's usually mixed with gum paste to make it hard because just fondant will be more just dry than hard. And gum paste is edible but you definitely don't want to eat it. lol
or it could be an edible image that's pressed onto hardened fondant.
Some bakery may be able to do it we just didn't have the capability. It looks like a sugar sheet type thing. If you were in my store I'd recommend maybe getting small paw patrol toys to put on it or an edible image but that would be flat to the cake not 3D looking like they are here, if that makes sense.
@jacesterlingsmommy, so what can I do about the pictures?
If someone came to me and asked for it where I worked I wouldn't be able to do the pictures like that but I'd airbrush it all and then use icing to put the stars and paw prints on.
@Jacesterlingsmommy, ok I'll see about getting it airbrushed
You could just get it airbrushed instead. If you don't do fondant it'll drop the price considerably. (I decorated cakes for 3 years)
@jacesterlingsmommy, the price isn't bad....but now I guess I'll have to figure out how to get a similar cake design without fondant 😕
Yeah it's kind of gross unless it's made with marshmallows IMO. Most people peel it off before eating the cake. This cake would probably run you about $150 easily.
It looks great!!
