today we are going over to my in laws to discuss the scene they made at Thanksgiving about us not letting anyone kiss the baby's face or hands while we are in the hospital. (I thought they would understand giving baby girl a hot minute to get used to germs before they rub them all over her, especially since they just got off a cruise yesterday, but they did not.) im not excited about it but I am proud of my husband for wanting to stand up to them and say, look this is my baby and you will respect our wishes or you won't see the baby. simple as that. but I cant imagine that it's going to go smoothly.
@christimary0, @macdeddy05 @mynewson2017 @princessqueen @valrocks thanks for your support mommas! I didn't really feel like it was that uncommon of a request? I thought it was just like a rule of thumb not to have people kissing the baby right after she's born. I hope they aren't as shocked when I make them wash their hands...
They should respect your wishes and. It put their faces close to the baby till she's had her first shots. And even after that they can still pass a cold or the flu.
My father tried to start something because I requested the use of hand sanitizer and asked people to refrain from kissing him. He's not even here yet!! I'm just making my wishes known ahead of time especially since we've gone into labor twice and he's not full term! Just respect parents wishes, we aren't being over protective. We aren't putting our kid in a bubble. We aren't saying nobody can see them. We are just asking that people try to reduce the spread of big germs to our very little baby!
that is petty bullshit they should no better. I agree one hundred percent momma
