Has any one had to deal with pregnancy gingivitis? I am about 99% positive I have it and have started flossing regularly and using fluoride mouth wash. How long should I wait to see if it gets better and go to the dentist? Or any other advice to treat it at home?

I had it my whole pregnancy and am almost 6 months pp and still dealing with it. I went to the dentist the other day and he told me what to do. He said get 2 caps full of hydrogen peroxide pour it in the cap of your mouth wash and then fill the mouth wash cap with the desired amount of mouth wash. Then swish it in your mouth. He said do that 2-3 times a day and within a few days to a week you should see a difference. Your gums should stop bleeding or at least the amount of bleeding should be reduced and your gums should turn back pink instead of red. So far it is working for me. Hopefully this helps you out😊

Wait until you've seen your obgyn first then schedule a dentist appt. That way if they have any questions or concerns, you've already seen your obgyn and they can just directly contact them to see what all they can do for you. But the earlier you schedule the better so they can help take care of it early on. They gave me a special mouth rinse with something in it to help it and prevent it during pregnancy. Mine is always bad with every pregnancy 😂
