Question: my son is 6 days old today and he usually wakes up in the afternoon and likes to be talked to and look at the christmas tree. well this past afternoon he slept thru figured it would be a long night but he has slept amazing. I know its normal for babies to sleep more while going thru a growth spurt so I'm guessing that happening. But is it normal for them to also stop eatong so much. He was up to eating 2 ozs of formula every feeding but for the past twelve hours he has only eat 1 oz evrry feeding is this normal should i be concerned?

When they're that young you should wake him to eat. I know the sleeping is nice😩 but u don't want him dehydrated

@knpinson, no he didnt have jaundice. I know they sleep alot and im not worried about dehydrating because he is peeing just fine. Just wondering if its normal for them to go back in feeding because I dont remember my oldest son doing that.

Also, anything involving your sons health should definitely go through your doctor first and foremost. I've seen a lot of bad advice given and it's hard to sit back and not correct it 😜

When they are so young, they do sleep a ton and their eating isn't a lot, but you want to be careful not to dehydrate your baby. I used to take my little mans clothes off so he wasn't so warm and cozy. Even then, he still would fall asleep in feedings. Was your baby jaundice?
