I hate getting my cervix checked by two different people. Frustrating because I get different results week by week.…

that's why I prefer seeing a midwife. they only check you if you want bc checking early isn't gonna tell you anything or do anything. even during labor they hardly checked only when I asked bc it really isn't gonna tell you much. when you feel like pushing is when it's time

@dawnrose, congrats. I hope you have progressed. I was 1cm and 90% effaced last week. Today I was 1.5 cm and 50% effaced. So I'm confused but oh well. I don't run the show. So it's a tiresome waiting game for me. But in going to walk today to see if that helps any.

@michelle2220, it's standard practice to get your cervix checked at weekly visits. At least at my doctors office it is. I'm one of those people who likes to know what's going on as much as possible. But I'm a FTM, so that's a part of it also.

I'm getting my checked weekly. last Tuesday I was at 1cm and 40% thinned, excited to see what I'm at tomorrow. my normal Dr. isn't going to be there tomorrow so a different Dr. will be checking me tomorrow.

well honestly you don't really need to be getting checked bc it's really not gonna tell you anything unless you're in labor

I'm just miserable and ready to have my son. I realize I don't run the show and feel like I back tracked in effacement but then again. With different ppl checking me they will get different results I guess. I'm just super tired.

I get checked once a week. One week the nurse practitioner checks me and then this week my doctor checked me.

why are you getting it checked twice
