Mommys, how many bottles does your 5 month old drink throughout the day? And how much baby food if you have started them…

when I first started baby food with mine I used it for 1 meal, usually dinner so they were full before bed.. my 2 oldest drank rice bottles by 3 wks old bc they were constantly hungry and all of my kids were on baby food by 3-4months.. its your call really, you know your baby best.. if you think she's ready for more then def! if she seems comfortable where she's at then all good too!

She use to drink rice bottles but now she doesn't care too much for it, and she refuses to drink juice anymore. I try baby food with her and she will eat a little bit of it but not even half a container, she usually starts making herself gag. But when I get the yogurt she will eat the whole container of it. And I don't think she drinks that much milk, she will have maybe 5 bottle through the day and I will have to make her one in the middle of the night.

By milk do you mean cows milk or breast milk?

Powder formula. I had to stop breastfeeding. @taybeard

Gotcha. I know the feeling. My 5 month old drinks quite a bit throughout the day. He is a hoss. I try to do 1-2 foods a day. Last night he ate a whole cup of peaches. I just blend foods (I think it's cheaper.)

I don't think she drinks that much milk. And when we're eating if I have something she can eat too I always give her some so even if it's not baby food she's getting food just big people food. Lol. @taybeard

@britt16, (SHE* I'm so sorry!) have you tried mixing the baby food in with the baby oatmeal? it cld be a texture thing for her ? otherwise yogurt is Great too! and as long as she's not puking I think the amount of 'milk' is fine too, it has everything she needs in it so no harm done :)

I haven't tried mixing it but I will. My mom is always trying to tell me what to do and what Tinley "needs". She's perfectly fine and I think she will adjust to the baby food as she gets older and if not it's okay cause she still gets what she needs. @poozie813445
