@laurabump27 I guess it's just the case that every bubba is different so we can never really compare with each other haha! They all survive in the end so we're all doing a good job 🤣👐 xx

@clare_louise13 nooo i wouldn't worry about it being too much... they just take what they need!

We dropped a bottle and gave him water instead in his own beaker with food so he went down to 3 bottles xxx

@laurabump27 about 2 months I think, it feels that way anyway when they both went through the phase of bottle dropping and refusing milk he couldn't give a shit about a bottle anymore tbh, and the teething seems better I've been using that powder and he's been staying with us whilst he's been bad because he just will not settle at all on his own it was so tiring! Xxx

My 8.5 month old has 5oz milk when wakes up then a weetabix mid morning, 5oz milk midday then a jar at 2pm, 5oz milk at 4pm then dinner at 7pm and last 5oz bottle at 8pm...

So altogether he has 20oz (750ml) 2 main meals and a small breakfast...I'm thinking I need to reduce his milk intake but he's bang on this routine and I'm scared to change it up 🙈

@bonnieb Thats What Charlie Was Doing.. So I Started To Give Him 3 8oz Instead Of The 4 And He Started To Finish Them!

It sounds like hes on an ok amount tbh.. they only need 500-600ml milk a day at this age.. and it can be in yogurts n that too xx

Liarna has literally only just started showing no interest in her two middle bottles this week. So she has 8oz bottle and porridge (that bottle is used in her porridge too) for breakfast which is anytime between 7.30-8.30am depending what time she wakes up, then she has lunch around 12.30pm and was having around 4oz milk but has only been having an ounce if that. Then her tea at 4.30pm with milk, but has also only been having an ounce if that of that, so as of today I’ve dropped the tea time milk as she has 8oz bedtime bottle at 7pm. Think I’ll be knocking the lunch bottle on the head in the next couple of days too if she’s still barely touching it. She’s been eating a lot more lately though so I’m pleased about that. I also offer snacks when I can but not too close to meal times xx

Do you still get him weighed? As long as he's not loosing weight regularly I wouldn't worry too much. Morgan dipped a double times which never surprised me because he didn't eat or drink much and was always on the move!

Roughly what I offered: Cereal & toast for breakfast. Fruit/ breadsticks etc for mid morning snack. Hot meal for lunch with yoghurt or fruit. Hot meal for tea with either yoghurt or fruit. Size wise it's hard to explain. I gave whole foods so for example. 1 large or 2 small potatoes. One spoonful of veg (large desert spoon I guess!) And 3 pieces of diced chicken. Doesn't have to be much at all. Now some babies would eat double that. But that is a typical recommended portion size.

@sara-lou86 he likes using a sippy cup but if i left it down to him he would have about 2 sips n be done.. hes never liked milk and i worry giving him the choice of having it himself he will just give up completely x

What foods would u offer and portion sizes?

Morgan was never a hungry baby. He would go without milk all day if I didn't offer it. He was also never that into solids. He was always skinny & on the light side. Cut to now, doesn't stop eating lol

Definitely 3 meals a day I would say. Offer milk in different bottles/ breakers, see if he shows any more interest in it. The more he eats the less milk he'll want/need. I'd let him drop the bottles naturally.

@sara-lou86 Charlies on 3 bottles which hes becoming increasingly disinterested in and 2 meals im thinking a should give him 3 meals and let him drop a bottle but i worry he womt be on enough then x

3 meals a day, 4 bottles. Wake up, mid morning. Mid afternoon & bedtime. Although at that age he started slowly dropping those mid day bottles.

My boys 8 month and he’s on 3 meals a day including a few snacks, and on about 5, 7oz bottles a day, he’s a little chubby and would seriously eat all day if you let him 😩, he’s always loved it though he was on 7oz every hour from 2 weeks old so I also had to wean him early as advised xx
