Does anyone have a recommendation on an organic crib mattress? I'm looking at the Sealy soybean foam mattress, but a few of the reviews mention that it has some kind of petroleum based product in it (obviously not organic!). I would prefer not to spend over $200
these are the best ones I can think of that are not treated with fire retardants (only baking soda) and they are completely organic. they are a little over your budget but worth the investment in my eyes after reading the new Zealand study on sids.

Buying a new mattress update in comments
So I’ll be looking for a new mattress now.
Let’s talk sheets..
I see pictures of mattresses without sheets constantly. This is foreign to me. My mattresses ALWAYS have sheets on them. We have multiple sets, when one set comes off the new ones go on.
How often are your mattresses naked?!?
Organ donor
I was at the DMV today and I noticed that nobody... literally nobody said yes to being an organ donor when asked. It is really that uncommon? If you're not, what are your reasons for not being one? I am aware this is pretty taboo to talk about.
Ok my husband and I are ordering our crib and want to get our mattress at target as well because we will get a $50 gift card if we spend $60 more dollars. Here's what I've learned from the Internet. So basically what I got was you need to buy a firm mattress. If we find it comfortable for us it's not right for baby. Don't go cheap. Buy one between $90-200. We can do foam or spring but shouldn't be able to put two fingers in between the mattress and the crib or the mattress is too small and dange...
Any suggestions on a reasonably priced organic crib mattress? I'm about to order the crib and I'm looking for a mattress to go with.
Thank you so much!!! @kmharr3
