I think I appreciate showers even more after having a baby. After I've focused all my attention on baby all day--soothed him, changed diapers, been drooled and spit up all over and nursed him for hours--it feels so good to get in a hot shower, wash away the day and climb into bed all clean and ready to do it again tomorrow!

Yeah that's gotta be hard with him working so much and being gone so long. You're a trooper for handling it all on your own! It's definitely not easy but is definitely worth it. I just love being a mom. It's the best thing that's ever happened to me. Even though I'm exhausted at times I just love taking care of him, and it's only been a week! I can't believe he's a week old today. Time is already flying by!! It's so crazy! So excited to watch him grow. He just fills my heart with so much joy! I still can't believe he's finally here and that I have him. It's such an amazing feeling!! 😍
@kaseylyn, babycenter is crazy. Im done with it. Women are catty and there are some creepy dudes. No thanks. I'm glad to hear that things are going so well! Since Sloane works 24 hour shifts I was really anxious at first. Now I've got it down and can handle even when he's gone 48 or 72 hours. Some days I feel like a pro, others I feel like a complete failure, but I guess that's how motherhood goes!
I love mom life I've been on here pretty much the start of my pregnancy. It gets addicting lol! I've been lucky enough to catch up on some sleep during the day when Eric gets home from work. He takes over and let's me rest and then shower and do whatever I need to do. He's been such a great help and such a good daddy! But yes taking a nice hot shower is definitely the highlight of the day 😄
@kaseylyn, omg! Hi!!! I didn't know you were here either! I really haven't used it until now. I was on BabyCenter, but I'm bored with it so I decided to give this a shot! I fight sleep so hard when I'm putting Ronin down so I can get my shower. It's one of the highlights of my day
Hey!! I didn't know you were on here!! And omg I couldn't agree more! I take the longest hottest showers now and they're amazing!! I can't wait until i get the go ahead to take a bath! Omg it's going to be so relaxing lol!
@kaseylyn, it's hard but I'm used to it. You get used to anything, as you already know since you're in the middle of crazy sleep deprivation! That's great that you're already doing so well. I loved Ronin, and was excited, but I didn't love the newborn phase. My boobs and vag were killing me, ronin was cluster feeding so I couldn't go anywhere, I was exhausted and ronin had colic so he was screaming nonstop and never slept, and being by myself so much was isolating. It was so rough! But I'm so happy now, and I've fallen more in love every day....so you're ahead of the curve, it seems!
