@mz_young @rodriguez13 WIC takes blood when baby is 1 because they need to know if they have low iron and if their allergic to anything so they know what to start giving on your babys checks since their no longer on formula. Once their 1 years old they get regular food like we did when we were pregnant. The drs take a full tube of blood like when we get our 1st trimester blood draw.

Yes I get all the regular food too but they don't make us give blood.

yea we dont give blood in Ohio either. but it would be nice to get her tested for allergies once she's that age

@mv92 weird. maybe my wic people are just assholes. and want to put my kid through pain. My mom said she had to get mine and my siblings blood drawn too when she was getting WIC. And that was a long time ago my brother is 28 im 19 going on 20 and my sister is 14. maybe it is a cali thing. i googled it and people have done it too

@rodriguez13 oh yeah some do it that way. they put the band around his arm and took it from his arm like when we get our blood drawn for the trimester blood test
