Baby girl has her first taste of solid foods today and absolutely loved her cereal. She's 5 months old now.
Question for you ladies how much should she be eating? I want to start just doing it once a day but I don't know how much she should be eating.
I feed Adalynn twice a day now, but you start off with once a day and right now she eats half a container each time (I feed her baby cereal in the same type of container that I've washed out) and start with stage 1 foods
I was told make an oz more than she will normally drink in a bottle and pour that extra oz in a bowl with 1 tablespoon of formula.
After writing all that I just realized you said cereal lol. Is she on baby food too or just the cereal?
Always start the first time flavors with 3 bites only. So you can see how she reacts to it. Those 3 bites should be her only solid bites all day the rest milk. Every day add a bite more of the same flavor for 3 days. After those 3 days try the next flavor and do it the same way. 3 bites and increase the bites every day. If baby hasn't had any reaction you can see if she'll eat the whole jar. I gave my son a jar foe breakfast a jar for lunch and a jar before bed. Milk for the rest of the day. Keep the same flavor all day until you try the next flavor. And always try the veggies first
Thank you ladies!
