so terrible daughter-in-law (me)strikes again:
so trying to plan for my daughter 1st birthday and my husbands mother is making a big deal about it being so close to the Christmas and we should just push it a side for some time next year when it would be More Convenient for Her because she wants us to drop everything to spend it with her other granddaughter house to celebrate Christmas with them. to add it it's a 2 hrs drive there and they would never let us spend the night to make it more convenient 4 us.
so I tell my husband well if they are not ok with it than forget them. they can wait till Emma's half birthday in July then if they really want but I'm celebrating Emma’s birthday on the near Christmas because that's when all her friends are in town. when she gets old she can make the decision to celebrate it else where but for now it's her 1st.
what @meli2890 said @mommybon my dad is refusing to come to my house this year for Christmas, it will be babies first Christmas, he wants it his way. ill only be 2 weeks or less pp. and my dad only lives like 15 minutes away. its not like its that much out of the way. i put my foot down and said thats how were having Christmas if you want to be there then awesome if not act like ur dead and miss ur 1st grand babies first christmas then! he even skipped out on my baby shower too. its so sad
I was thinking x-mas eve early in the day would be really cute plus it's a Saturday. I was going to do a small theme like the Nutcracker ballet since she loves to dance lol
I say forget her, if she's not there she's the one who is gonna look bad it's your daughters 1st birthday, are you having her bday party on Xmas eve or Xmas day?
it is so sad, why do people have to be selfish? I mean come on our children have feelings too no matter what age they are
