Hopefully no one will be mentioning details of your previous relationship without your knowledge to a young child. I'd keep it PG while she young and give her the best friends who fell in love story, which is pretty much true. Then when she's older and mature tell her the truth. She'll understand.

@tg123456789, no we don't talk at all me and her new gf get on (that's the girl Megan cheated on me with 😂😂) because the way I seen it there no point us all holding grudges against each other especially if there are kids involved see megans new gf has two kids from a previous relationship and I would never be cheeky or ignorant to her especially in front of her children xx

I met my OH online....which is quite dodgy to some people...but it turned out really well...I'm actually proud of meeting my partner online....I think when children ask...they don't want the full details...just tell them you were best friends and fell in love...if they want to know more at a later stage then say something like (I will tell you the full story when you are older etc) Your children will love you no matter what hun xxx

yeah it didn't end great with my ex either, he cheated and generally made me feel crap about myself (as a result ended up being anorexic and had severe depression). their baby shower super awkward and my nephews first birthday was just as awkward but couldn't let him have the upper hand now we share a nephew. it's a tough situation X

I'm in a relationship with my ex best friends ex boyfriend 🙈 they were together (on and off numerous times) for 6 years. It's not like we cheated or anything, me and the girl hadn't spoke for 2 years almost and they had been broken up for nearly a year. We didn't plan to fall in love but it just happened! I'm just going to tell my children if they ask that we were best friends and we fell in love (which is basically the truth) I would maybe say in your case, that you were best friends and he helped you through a really tough time and it brought you closer? We meet people in awkward ways, but I'm quite silly and think that things happen for a reason :) x

@mimibear, you can't help who you fall in love with but me and Megan don't talk at all because of the situation but her and Gareth would still talk and she's going to be the child's aunty and I just don't know how everything is going to work out lol I would never keep the child away from her .. but at the same time I don't want her around her if she's going to bad mouth me around her especially when she was the one who was cheating on me and a bunch of over stuff my partners mum said that she could be jealous maybe and regretting what she did but I don't care if she regrets what she did and she shouldn't take it out on me because of what has happened xx

sounds a little like my family situation lol I was with my ex bf for 5 years and then when we split up and I found the love of my life, with whom I have a beautiful baby girl. anyway 2 years ago my brother got with my ex's sister and had a baby. took me ages to accept it but I guess you can't help who you fall in love with!
