I'm 17 weeks and have had a fetal Doppler for around 2 weeks and used it this morning and could hear 2 heartbeats one each side of my belly button quite far apart, is there a possibility it could be a hidden twin? Has anyone experienced this before? I am carrying quite big but have used it 3-4 times today and have got exactly the same outcome, does anyone have any experience/advice please???

chances are it's your heartbeat you can hear aswell x

I don't know about twins but sometimes the baby's heartbeat can be heard in different places. It's possible though! Mention it to your midwife xx

Either side of belly button will probably be the same one hun, my consultant checked me friday and he had the heartbeat clearly on both sides of my tummy, and there is deffo only one baby for me x

If you mean just before your hip on both sides and the both sound the same it's most likely your veins which is reflecting yurt own heartbeat. Baby will be significantly faster.

Thankyou everyone going to mention it to my midwife just incase, and it's just before my hips so could be that x
