how much milk were you pumping around 3 weeks after baby was born? im only pumping 1 oz max between both breast after feeding her and i just need to know if thats about normal or if my supply is considered low
Okay..at 3weeks most babies go through a growth spurt they cluster feed to build your supply a pump doesn't get much out because your milk is regulating to her needs not only that but a baby can get a huge amount more milk than a pump can..I couldn't pump not even enough to cover the bottom of a bottle but I was feeing a chunky 6m old only breastmilk from my Brest no food no formula just breastmilk and I could not pump..don't let this discourage you keep nursing on demand whenever baby wants it..
Oh in my freezer I have about 3 months supply so drinking n keeping at it is the key!!!
Drink lots of water n keep at it. Pump n also feed baby from boobs. It will increase. 2 liters of water everyday is good or on the way to be good. I drink 3 liters everyday n I pump on average about 8 oz a day, 1 sitting in about 15 minutes. Just drink drink drink n stay hydrated n keep at it. @mrsnewman10511 I don't bottle feed unless I'm out. So I pump n store.
I agree @corinasolorio nurse on demand!!!! Do not follow them at the hospital bout every two hours. If ur baby wants it give it to them. That also builds ur milk supply
