So we got a puppy off of Craig's list and every time we even go near her she pees so I finally looked up on why she does that...well it's because she came from an abusive family which makes sense because she is constantly hiding, knows she is wrong, and then if we would smack her she freaks at even if we just tap her...now I feel bad so hopefully we can fix it!
need suggestions.... So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.
So lemme get this straight ML is made at @aliciaandray because she referred to her n her dude as colored?????? Yet she has a different shade as well so she in the coloring box too so what's the problem did she call y'all kids colored or anything??? I'm confused as to y so many ppl care low key
Idk how to even feel about this. My step daughter lives with us because her mom abused her. Told us the other day she wants to go back to her moms. Annie is the one who came to us with these problems with her mom and we been in and out of court for a year. Her dad paid so much on a lawyer which I told him not too. Attended the parenting class they had her mom go to, we got her tutoring, made sure she stayed in school, make sure she never runs out of her meds, we make sure we are doing everything right so we can keep her and prove to the court we can stay on track. Just to get stabbed in the back. I feel so hurt and angry. I'm pretty sure it's only because her mom is kissing her ass right now so I tried to say that wont last but I cant change her mind and i'm not trying too. But shes the one who said her mom punched her, grabbed on her and calls her horrible things.
is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page

My dads dog was from an abusive home he was fine even up till he passed my recommendation is treats and try not to yell that was the only thing that freaked him out it takes time but I would refrain from tapping and just talk to the dog like it a baby use deep tone without yelling when reprimanding

I have a rescue dog that was from an abused home. They can be really challenging, but what helped us the most was taking training classes together. It established trust and a relationship and that has made all the difference. And like the previous poster mentioned, don't yell or tap/flick/get physical with them. Dogs don't really understand the difference between what their old family did and what you're trying to do, so it can really scare them and can set all your hard work back. Good luck! With out dog it has totally been worth every second of work we put in, he's turned out to be a great dog.
