Y'all Nyla(1 month) is eating 4oz almost every hr and a 1/2 she's breastfed and formula fed.. (mostly formula) is it ok if I add a lil cereal to her bottles or is it too early? Ps my boobs are beat I can't keep up with her anymore.. 😂😂
@andrewsmommy, yasssss I was pumping so much I could not keep up I just start giving her the boob.. that was torture!!
Lmao I feel it. I stopped breast feeding my son at 3 weeks but when he hit that growth spurt oh my god I cried everytime he wanted to eat every 5 minutes my boobs were tortured
@andrewsmommy, yea I'm going ask her dr but I agree w/ @sheaxx too .. she eats a lot she's greedy!!
Yeah I agree with @sheaxx always ask your dr first. tell them shes still hungry all the time. Maybe try a 6 oz her next bottle and see how long she goes without the next one.
I started to add cereal to my LO bottles because she seemed to still be hungry after 6oz bottles... but when I added cereal to a 4oz she was good. I use the lil measuring spoons 1/4 tsp.
@andrewsmommy, yes I had to upgrade to the 9oz bottles (big girl bottles) real quick!!
He also said if baby seems to be hungry still add one more ounce to it
My DR recommended the rice cereal in my sons bottle but not until he was 4 months. Hes never choked or anything. 1 month no but later on you could try.
@jasholbert, 😂😂 I need to go then I'll try it next time !!
I would say it's a growth spurt it will go down a little once it's over I wouldn't add cereal just cause she can choke on it.
That's what I've learned by going to la leche league lol. It keeps you from overfeeding your baby.
@jasholbert, hmmm that sounds scientific I will try that thanks!!
You sit her upright instead of laying her down and keep the bottle parallel to the floor. It'll mimic the breast more meaning gravity won't be helping and she'll have to work harder. They usually won't eat as much then.
It's not recommended to add cereal to bottles anymore. Do you pace feed her? If not that may help out.

I wanted to do one of these before our breastfeeding journey ended. I have a feeling it’s soon 😔 since her dr has us giving her formula to give her more calories, I’m finding it difficult to give her breastmilk as well. She gets full off of me alone so she doesn’t want the formula if I breastfeed her first. And if I give her formula first, she doesn’t want the breastmilk. I’ve been alternating feedings but that’s just caused my supply to drop. She’s getting chunky, though. That’s all I care abou...
Eliana has 18 cans of formula thanks to wic and this coupon her GI doctor gave her for 6 free cans... that definitely saved me money cause her formula is $59 a can 😳
So, my baby is 3 months and she's on 1% milk. Formula doesn't sit right with her at all.

I feed Paola about 3 bottles of formula a day, a couple spoonfuls of Gerber for breakfast/dinner and every once in a while 2 ounces of apple juice. Every time I give her formula I burp her and it never fails she ALWAYS throws up. Every bottle of formula is 6 ounces and she's 6 months. Am I giving her too much?? And thats why he keeps throwing up??
I want to start working soon, I gave my little one formula only a few times, so she's basically ONLY breastfed. Can I introduce her to formula because storing breast milk is such a bitch, plus I produce JUST enough for her I don't produce any extra??
Lol at least she liked it! Im pretty sure mines didnt want it after a while cause my boobs just got so big I couldn't let them rest while he ate I had to always hold it and my nipples just cracked so bad. He loved it at first as soon as they laid in om my chest he went straight for the titt
