TMI!! BUT PLEASE HELP!! My son has gotten a REALLY bad diaper rash, it doesn't help the fact that he has had diarrhea all day either. He literally poops every 30 minutes, it also looks kind of mucousy. He won't let me wipe him when he does poop, I have to make my fiancé hold his legs back and he kicks and screams the whole time. I've tried desitin, hydrocortisone and now nystatin. I've also been giving him Tylenol to help with the pain. I tried a bath to see if that would soothe it any but he wouldn't sit for longer than a minute. If anyone had any quick remedies to help with redness or pain or ANYTHING!! Please help!! TIA!!

@zaysmomma, we've been using the same diapers for about 7-8 months
Try switching diapers. He could be having a reaction to the kind your using if it won't go away
The best thing to do is to let him go without a diaper for a while to air out and instead of wiping him just rinse him off with a squirt bottle with warm water that way it won't get more irritated. Make sure he's totally dry before putting another diaper on. I had the same problem before with my son and that was the only way I got it to clear up.

@andrewsmommy, @cupcakemomma yeah SUPER thick and after I change him and put a new diaper on he is perfectly fine until he poops again and I go to change him again. It's the poop on his butt, wiping and then applying the desitin that bothers him other than that he is perfectly fine. He is asleep now and is fine.
I heard the extra strength desitin actually burns. I use A&D ointment
I put the destin on really thick too @andrewsmommy since she doesn't wake up to get changed. Even if she does get a rash it's fine by morning lol
Are you packing the desitin on? I do with my son every diaper change and baby powder and his rashes usually go away the next day. Like pack it on lmao Does it seem like its painful when hes sleeping like hes uncomfortable? I'd let him sleep on his belly
@andrewsmommy, I mean I figured I would give it until tomorrow because there are no bad blisters or sores or anything. It feels a little raises its but mostly red and VERY tender and painful. Hopefully the doctor will be able to tell me something over than to do what I've been doing.
@andrewsmommy, I tried a cool bath but whenever I would try to sit him down he would start fussing and fight me to stand up. @backwoods92 I'm going to call and make an appointment tomorrow, it kills me to see him in this much pain.
The purple one works best. Like the other mommy said I'd call the dr or ER trip if its really that bad

I use the purple desitin. Extra strength for my son with baby powder. A cool bath wouldn't help?
What kind of desitin are you using? The blue or purple one?
Does any one have any tips for Hand Foot and, Mouth Disease? My son has it but, only inside his mouth & throat. He is in a lot of pain, so I am giving his tylenol and, motrin as recommended for pain and, discomfort. I'm also, giving him popsicles, jello, tea, honey to help...any one ever went through this with their kiddos? He is so emotional, and moody, and fatigued, I know he doesn't feel well. I just want to help him while he is letting it run its course. Poor baby. 🤒😔💔
So baby boy has been teething and fussy. He will not take a bottle, pacifier or anything. I've tried oragel , vanilla extract, teething ring and also cold towel nothing is helping. I need help ladies
Hello mommies.. please help me out here, I think my little one is teething and we're both not getting any sleep at all. He's constantly crying and I'm on the verge of crying with him. What can I use to help ease his pain? I've tried teething toys but nothing works
So my son has not pooped today and has been crying all day bc hes in pain. what do I do?? And I've done gripe water gas drops and tummy time nothing is helping
baby is screaming like she is in pain fed her changed her n burped her.. she needed help with her poop she gas been constipated but she got some poop out and is still crying.. any ideas??? pls help
