Birth story!

A little background first. In Jan I had to have my gallbladder removed because it was seriously diseased. 4 days after my surgery I found out I was pregnant. I went to an obgyn that tried to tell me my child might have Down syndrome and mentioned terminating the pregnancy. So I switched doctors and got test done for the DS and he was fine. I ended up bleeding and found out I had placenta previa. The previa cleared up and caused blood clotting in the placenta and then that cleared up then they said I had placenta lakes and not to worry. All was beginning to go well then I had my glucose test and failed both the 1 and 3 and was diagnosed with GD and baby began to measure 4 weeks ahead each visit: by 32 weeks I developed hypertension and had to start taking blood pressure meds to control it and it wasn't doing so well. So they tested me for pre e and I was high risk for it. So at 38 weeks we decided to schedule my induction for 39 weeks and 1 day bc of the baby measuring over 8 lbs at my 37 week scan plus all the issues.

* we arrived at the hospital for induction at 730 am and after being hooked up to everything my doctor calls the hospital and tells them to do another growth scan to make sure he would be safe to be delivered vaginally. Well the ultrasound was reading he was over 10 lbs so we decided the best thing to do was a c section. I was horrified of it to be honest. We then waited til 730 at night to head back to the Operating room. I had a horrible violent cough as well during this. They put the spinal in and as soon as it kicked in I was crying I hated the feeling it was terrible. I began to puke and cough. My SO came in and held my hand thru it all as the nurse helped me from chokin on my vomit. I puked 3 times during delivery and coughed as well. Finally I hear my doctor say look over here dad and I heard my baby cry. I started to cry and wasn't as scared anymore. He was born at 8:05 and we was in the recovery room by 9. I was so nauseous and dizzy I kept puking the whole night. They kept me on the pain meds thru iv for 24 hrs. Mason passed with a 9/9 on his apgar score. And only weighed 8 lb and 6 oz. I'm still really sore but I am extremely happy and feel so complete now. ❤️
