Recently I've been having to give me newborn a bottle and I do bf but now she's having issues latching. Any advice? Also how do you know if your milk is drying up? My right breast was always bigger and constantly leaking and now it's a lot smaller and I'm not getting much out of it. My left breast was always smaller so I started feeding her more and pumping more on that side without neglecting my right but now I'm having the same issue but with my right breast. Is this normal? ):
@aiellomorgan, yes she should be latching as much as possible and if she's eating from a bottle you need to pump to stipulate your breasts to make milk
My right breast is still leaking but not much. Should I just start pumping more and letting her latch more often @corinasolorio
If you offer a bottle and don't pump for stimulation as often as she eats you will loose your milk.. Also bottle can cause nipple confusion and make her latching worse until she won't latch anymore..I highly recommend no bottles and offer breast as much as possible even try our a nipple shield.. Go see an LC I know WIC has LCs available call in and they will tell you a day and time one is available they really help
Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
I'm convinced I'm going to go into labour at any minute.....I'm having contraction but they're stopping and starting. Yesterday i was having contractions all morning then by the time I got to triage to be monitored they stopped. Now this morning I was sat having breakfast with my son and they started again. But more intense and longer lasting this time. My question is do I phone triage now or do I just wait to see what happens. I feel like I'm wasting their time always ringing etc
Birth Plan Rant
I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?
Failed the glucose test
I'm so down right now.. I failed the one hour glucose test and have to do the 3 hour test. I'm worried and scared. I never had any issues with my sugar before :(
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
I'm barely leaking though and every time I feed her on my right now she just gets frustrated
