Bottle or breast, which is best? There's no debate - feeding baby in a way that's best for you and your family, that's what's best. We asked our mom.life moms for their best bottle 🍼 and breastfeeding tips for new moms and here's what they had to say.
1️⃣ Use all resources and strategies at your disposal
Whether it's a bottle of breast, utilize all of your resources to help you succeed at the feeding routine that works for you and your child.
"For the first 4 weeks the pain from breastfeeding was unbearable. I tried everything and the only thing that saved me was pumping to give my nipples a break. Now I breastfeed almost exclusively and only pump when I feel engorged, but if it hadn't been for the pump I definitely would have given up."
"If you're having a hard time getting a good latch, you can try a nipple shield."
"Cluster feeding may be rough but it's worth it for both of you!"
2️⃣ Remember, it's your choice
The important thing to remember in all of this is that it's your choice. Breast, bottle, or combo-feeding - it all works well for baby.
"Whichever you choose formula or breast..you are a rockstar and an amazing mama!"
"Whether you choose to breastfeed or use formula, let that be 100% YOUR decision. Don't let anyone else try and make it for you or make you feel bad for whichever decision you go with. As long as your baby is getting fed, that's all that matters."
"Breastfeeding is by far the hardest and most wonderful rewarding thing I have ever done. My baby is four months and the work/life balance is exhausting! I try to take it day by day, otherwise it is just too overwhelming. Use lactation consultants and get support however you can. Do what's best for you, being a happy mom is most important, I totally know why moms call it quits."
3️⃣ Combo-feeding can be a happy medium
If you're interested in breastfeeding, but want the convenience of formula feeding or need it for supplementing, combo-feeding can be a great option. You get the best of both worlds.
"When my twins were little, I made sure they both ate at the same time. We did a combination of bottle and breastfeeding because one could not latch. I pumped milk to go into her bottle and I routinely supplemented with formula to simplify our life a bit when we were out and about or if they were a bit hangry and I didn't have pumped milk available."
The important thing to remember in all of this is that your baby will be happy no matter what your feeding routine looks like. Choose based on what is best for your family.

I think a fed child is the best regardless if its breast or formula. I stopped breastfeeding at 3 weeks because my son stopped latching on correctly, the nipple cream wasn't helping and ny nipples started to bleed. Even when trying to pump they would bleed. I see a lot of parents hate on formula feeding moms but they have to realize its not moms fault. Some babies choose not to take it, some NICU babies get use to a bottle and some moms just don't produce milk. I plan on trying breastfeeding again but if I can't do it then formula it is.

Joovy Boob bottles are amazing for moms that plan on bottle and breastfeeding. Personally? We were a formula feeding family. I recommend the Baby Brezza (aka, Baby Kurieg"). Seriously the BEST baby product I purchased.

My sons favorite bottles are the .97 parent choice bottles at Walmart which my wallet loves

Both of my sons were born with latching issues. The absolute best for my family is MAM bottles with the flat nipples. My youngest can't latch on anything else.

Sorry you don't understand that as long as a baby is fed, well taken care of, & loved that's all that matters. One day you might know. @lilfree16

My son didn't get to breastfeed for the first five days because he was sick, and he was only on bottles. So when it came to breastfeeding he wouldn't latch. I worked at it for another week. I was only pumping, and my milk started decreasing. I began to only pump about 2 ounces every 4 hours. And I was pumping every 2 hours. I was getting so discouraged! I finally went for my appointment with a lactation consultant and I got a nipple shield, and it has literally been the best thing for him. I can finally breastfeed my baby 😊

fedisbest😍 doesnt matter which one no need to bash bottle feeding mommys some dont produce enough or dont want to or have their own reasons that they dont need to explain, some do perfect breastfeeding and have the time for it and thats just as great😊
