Hello ladies! I just had my scan with the fertility clinic at barts today (8w3d). Baby was seen fine, measuring 8w5d! Hopefully everything works out and baby continues to grow. All a bit nerve wracking as I've had 2 previous miscarriages and the last one the baby stopped growing at 8w6d. The doctor saw a small dark path which could potentially cause spotting or could be absorbed into my body. Anyone else have this and go on to have a normal pregnancy and baby?
@natzie86 I know 2 isn't quite 5 but it's been such a long time coming (7years) I'm pretty sure I'll be like you. 🙈
Not really, I've lost 5babies in total so in pregnancy I'm quite nervous anyway.
@jodie1809 I feel like I'll be a nuisance when I finally get my midwife. I just wanna know everything is as it should be. @natzie86 Wow that's a lot! 🙈
I have to ask. did hat keep you stress free?
@ttcrainbowbaby, glad everything is good with baby, I know what you mean about the scans for peace of mind, we paid for a private early scan because of our previous mc which didn't happen til 10 weeks. Every scan is nerve wracking but completely worth it! x
@natzie86 I was in hospital last week too. Went for the bleeding but they kept me in coz of my haemoglobin level. Including today I've had 3 scans and I'm just over 8 weeks. 🙈 Ain't gonna lie though. I'd happily let them scan me weekly just for my peace of mind.
It was scary, I spent the weekend in hospital trying to find the cause of the bleed and had a lot more scans than a regular uncomplicated pregnancy but she's a bouncing 2year old now with no issues
@natzie86 Really? Wow! Must've been so scary. 🙈 Thanks for sharing. Defo gives me hope
A loss is a loss no matter how many there is we all feel it the same. Hopefully you get an understanding mw and a reassuring one that recognises your fears as some really don't get it. If you need to ask them questions etc don't be in fear to do so
