how many months was ur baby when you started giving he/she baby food ??
@jenn61115, my baby he's been on oatmeal cereal since he was 2 months also . Lol 😂 and been doing good ever since .
Open gut is just a theory, but for me that was enough to wait. We also waited for all the signs of readiness. AAP and WHO both recommend around 6mo and meeting all the signs or readiness as do many other major health organizations. My daughter didn't lose her tongue thrust reflex until close to 7mo so thats when we started. Food before 1 is mainly just for fun in the sense that it shouldn't replace any meals(bm or formula) for the first year. Their iron reserves get low around 6mo and breast milk doesn't give much so they do need iron from solids or a vitamin after that.
I started oatmeal and cereal at 2 months since the dr recommended cereal in the bottle for acid reflux. All 3 of mine refused bottles with cereal so they learned how to eat out of a spoon at 2 months. Fruit at 4 months and veggies at 6
Read about Open gut or virgin gut. It's recommend to wait till 6 months and even still before a year is just for fun and practice. They don't really Need it.
Yep. My 10 year old & 5 year old were both good too.
