This may be TMI but has anyone here suffered nipple damage due to pumping? I had a Lansinoh pump that I purchased before I gave birth. Right where the cone turns into a tube there is a ring on the inside. Apparently this ring choked my nipple out and I began noticing that my nipple would swell and stay in a distorted shape which I can only describe as a cherry on the tip of my breast. Obviously I stopped using that pump, and I haven't pumped all together for about 2 weeks, but I just got done pumping with my Medela and the cherry nip is back. It doesn't seem to bother my son, but it's bothering me. Photos in the comments *Nudity... obviously*
mine always does that when I use the small shield, try the bigger one. it helps mine.
Seriously?? @vella89 what have you done to correct it? Did you get assaulted by a pump as well? LoL
have you tried bigger Shield. the one you're using might be to small
Nope. Not at all. When the injury occurred I could only use the pump on its lowest setting @akeelah_naomi_mommy
I don't want to take out my nipple ring :(
I got my free medela breast pump today ! Does anybody know if using it for nipple stimulation will help !?!
I’m not breastfeeding .

I just want to share my ring I got today. It's from a company called ashes into glass.
I hate pumping smh. My nipples are so sore and they constantly hurt. 🙄 smh
So I read that nipple stimulation and pumping can help start labor.. If I pump colostrum will my milk come in? I don't wanna pump all the colostrum away before my baby gets here
also high suction does that. I like to hand pump. I hate the machine pump.
