My husband got us tickets to be part of the live audience for dancing with the stars on Monday night. My LO will be 6 weeks and I've been pumping and trying to save up enough milk and my mom offered to watch her at our house while we go but I'm feeling super guilty and anxious about leaving her even though it'll only be for a few hours. When was the first time you left your LO for longer than a couple hours.
@bodaciousb6, yea that's what everyone tells me to do but it's so hard. The longest I've been away from her was for 20 minutes while my MIL watched her and I ran to the grocery store for milk. And she was asleep when I left and asleep when I got back
@bodaciousb6, lol I already know I'm going to be bugging my mom every 30 minutes too 😂😂 he said he's had these tickets for awhile and just surprised me with them. I really wanna have a nice date night but can't lie I'd like to bring my baby but can't 😂
@s she was three weeks but we left for two hours & we were five Mike's away for. wedding. I got pictures every thirty minutes & called twice. we had said we would go for a year tho, before baby.
@samclark5, you're definitely not crazy! She'll do just fine, and your husband is right - she'll probably sleep the whole time! Hahah. Enjoy your date! It should be lots of fun! (And thank you! ❤️)
@jennatess, aw I'm so sorry to hear that mama ❤️ that's great that you had that support system to be able to go out there ❤️ I think I will definitely take it harder than she will and my husband keeps telling me she'll be sleeping most of the time anyways. I've pumped enough for the time we will be gone and I'm going to continue pumping through Monday so she should have plenty of breastmilk, I think I just needed to hear from another mommy that I'm not crazy for leaving her 😂
When my daughter was only 8 weeks old I had to fly to Illinois to say goodbye to my dad. We knew he wasn't going to make it much longer, and I didn't bring my daughter with because she hasn't had all her vaccinations yet. My husband and my wonderful MIL stayed with her in California. She was totally, perfectly fine. She didn't even know I was gone. I think I had a harder time than she did! Haha. I formula fed though, so, I'm sure that's a big difference.
@bodaciousb6, it is really hard, it makes you feel empty and incomplete 😞
