Yeah it's still in the lower spine & everything happens so fast, my babies were out within the first 5 minutes & they were only a second apart. The rest of the time was spent closing me up. It lasted about 45 minutes total but during that time I seen them, held them, & took pictures & stuff.

& the spinal is basically the same thing as an epidural but you won't have it in your back the whole time. It's just one shot & your done. The shot feels like the shot they do at the dentist to numb your gums. It's not bad at all. 😊

I had a scheduled c section with the boys & it wasn't at all what I expected. I thought it was going to be the worse but it was the complete opposite & my recovery has been so easy, I was up walking about 12 hours after the csection & ive only had 2 days of really bad pain. Everyone is different but I would say my csection & recovery has been going well. 😊

@momma_jessa2, for me the spinal was awesome i didn't feel anything but the tugging no pain. with the epidural I felt everything there wasn't any pain but it was weird feeling the cutting and even the warmth of my blood (sorry if thats too much) I literally felt it all just without the pain.

So you would suggest the spinal? I just want something where I don't feel a darn thing while surgery!! Lol @surprise4

Recovery was so easy the first time. I think the second time it was harder because I left the hospital a day early and had a 4 year old a home so I could never stay still.

@momma_jessa2, I am 4 weeks postpartum no problems with getting around, we don't all have horrible stories

@momma_jessa2, all of my c-sections were a cake walk no meds but everyone is different. The one thing I suggest is to talk with the anesthesiologist there is a difference between the spinal and a epidural, for my first 2 scheduled c sections I had spinals and it didn't take long to get in and out of the OR however this time the anesthesiologist decided he wanted to try the epidural and it took forever and I was uncomfortable waiting for it to take. Having a bowel movement was no problem either you can ask for ducolax, a stool softner and meds for gas relief they will definitely help.

SO MUCH EASIER!! It was unplanned the first time and I freaked out so bad that they had to put me asleep. The second time, the recovery was harder, but I was mentally prepared so the actual procedure was easy peasy

Yea I had a vbac as well because with my first I had an emergency csection it happened so quick that I didn't think anything of it recovering was ok but now with my third my doc doesn't want to risk me having a vbac (unless I go into labor on my own like with my second) due to him having a bad experience with a patient once he doesn't want to risk it again...so now that with my third it's a planned csection im more nervous because im more aware that im goin to have a csection, if that makes since...:/ @b3autifulm3ss

@momma_jessa2, im going for a VBAC this time because unless it's a life or dead situation im not going to have another csection, they gave me an option. Vaginal is a lot easier to recover from.

@momma_jessa2, idk but my emergency csection was the worst thing ever!!! I kept telling myself I would rather be dead the recovery was horrible and getting back into shape after was even harder

The incision takes a few weeks to heal, it's hard to walk, sneeze, cough, and poop
