Is it true that your baby has to be a certain weight before you can bring them home. Not premature babies but full term babies
Oh ok. my daughter was measuring right on track almost my whole pregnancy, then when I hit 34 weeks she was measuring small. found out on ultrasound that she was a little over 5 lbs. I'd say your baby should still be decent size. my daughter was only in the 9th percentile.
My sons weight is a bit below on what he should be but his length is good and all @jessicarose0602
it's really more about making sure they are healthy (breathing on their own, blood pressure stable, maintaining their body temperature, able to pass the car seat test, etc) and less about weight. I've had a bunch of friends have babies less than 5lbs 10 oz at full term and even sometimes over due, and they all were able to go home.
If the baby isn't healthy, you wouldn't want to bring them home, but as long as they are perfectly healthy, there's no reason for them to keep you.
no problem. Yeah my daughter was 5 lbs when she came home so I wouldn't worry too much mama!! are you measuring small at your ultrasounds or something?
Oh okay! One of my friend told me that I can't bring my baby home if he is under 5 lbs 10oz. Just wanted to know if it was true or not @emily18234 @tryingforababy @jessicarose0602
I don't think so.. my daughter was 5 lbs 1 oz when she was born. since she was on the small side, if she would have lost so much they would have kept her a little longer... but typically they don't keep babies for weight alone. my daughter was born really healthy, just on the small side.
I think it's if they're healthy, you can take them home. everything has to be where it's suppose to, like blood pressure and stuff like that. if everything's fine, then you can take them home
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️
If his weight is just a little bit below they'll definitely let you go home but they'll bring you in for doctors appointments every few days to make sure the baby is gaining weight! My daughter was 7-11 when she was born then dropped to 7-1 when we left, then dropped to 7 two days later, they brought me in pretty much 2-3 times a week until they made sure she was gaining weight. :)
