So, this might make me seem like a terrible person but that person who I was pretty sure the dad was because of the time period the doctor gave isn't it I don't sleep around a lot but I have slept worth the same people on and off and now the guy who has been here for my son since day one is wanting to leave for the simple fact that I don't want to know who his dad is because I haven't slept with the greatest guys in the past and if it is one of the bad ones then what I bring a piece of shit into his life so no I'm okay with not knowing and dealing with the consequences later on in life honestly I feel as if I'm protecting him. Am I in the wrong because the guy who's been there since day one said I was disrespecting my son...... I don't know what to do

and honestly I have a step dad and he is the best dad I could have ever asked for and he is my dad not the spearm Donner who was never there
see I knew my real father and every time he let me down or didn't come get me after promising me he'd be there broke me time and time again so I don't see it that way and as for the health stuff I get that part but they have such advanced medical technology they can pretty much usually figure out what's wrong
Personally, I think every child deserves to know who their father is. Regardless of anything it is a part of them and their history. Also for health reasons.

Yes. you should inform the father whomever it may be that he is. He should at least have a choice because it is his blood. the child shouldn't have to suffer because of your decisions and in my opinion I would rather know my mother told my father about me and he decided not to stick around then to not say anything and keep him from having a great father even though he wasn't a great person to you.
