my boobies are rocks. I hand expressed 20 mins ago. what the heck. π I know girls on here say "don't pump for 6 weeks" but it hurts so bad I can hardly breath so I sent SO to get me a manual pump.
The lactation specialist told me to pump every 2 hrs when I was in the hospital. why do ppl say not to pump for 6 weeks???
My son was in the nursery for the first week due to a small infection and I told them that I want to breastfeed and pump so he can still get my milk and I know how expensive formula is and to me breast milk costs nothing and my milk came in on day 3 and he latches onto my breasts and bottles like a champ
@lovelymommylumps, I don't think I've ever been so excited for my SO to get some so I can get it done. lol
That is very strange for them to tell you that. I don't see the logic behind it. You should definitely listen to your doctor and I'm with him on that. Girl go and pump and get you some relief!
@lovelymommylumps, a ton ofadies on here but I talked to my Dr and be said that it was fine. and plus then I can work on stock piling because I work 2 jobs and go to school.
Who told you not to pump for 6 weeks...? You can pump right away and you need to if you want your milk supply to stay strong.
This is my first and for the first 6.5 weeks I had to exclusively pump because he wouldn't latch. The pump was my best friend because it kept me from having to do formula while he learned to latch! Everyone has different experiences and it bothers me when the pump is frowned upon. You go girly! Lol :)
@mommymcclung, with my first I needed to pump by the end of the week because I didn't produce! so I don't even feel bad. if I'm going to be hand expressing for relief why not make it quick, easy and efficient? and know that its getting caught into a bottle so my precious milk isn't being wasted? plus I have 4 yo old keeps asking to help feed her. now him and his daddy can be a little more active in helping with her. lol
@michellevaldez4750, I've decided it was because people are stupid
lol
