You don't need God parents if it's that hard . That should be someone that you don't have to doubt at all what so ever and deff not have to think about you should already know unless you have a few amazing people to select from . If not I wouldn't do God parents you wouldn't want to be let down and that's a huge role to play . I picked my bestfriend who I've known all my life and she started off great but at some point she started coming around much less stopped doing stuff all together my son is 7 now and he still calls her God mommy but she deff does not play that role as she should . I'm her kids godmother and they are 1 and 2 and I always get them buying them stuff etc it's so one sided so I decided to back off some . Specially since I'm expecting my princess in a few months . This time around even though I have great friends who I know will be there if I NEED them that's still not godmother role so I won't be giving my baby girl one .

I agree it was hard for us as well. we ended up closing my friend amanda as godmother. she had lost 2 babies and was very supportive of me when I was trying to get pregnant. the godfather is my husbands army buddy who already has one child.
