do newborn babies over eat? my little princess has been on me for almost the last hour. is that normal? is she just using me for comfort? she was born yesterday so its hard to hear for her swallows.
and I switch every 15 mins because if I let her on the same side for 40 mins I might cry. lol
Yeah it happens, use lanolin on them or coconut oil that'll help them to feel better
@santistevanmommie, I didn't think so. its just been a long hour my nipples hurt so bad. lol
Also you don't need to switch breasts every 15mins. You can switch every feeding
She's clusterfeeding. She's making your body produce plenty of milk for her. Also you can't over feed a breastfed baby. @lexij
yeah I do 15 mins then switch. I've switched 3 times. I've checked her diaper, burped her, rubbed her belly. she's pooped and peed. just any time I take her away she sticks out her tongue, sucks on whatever she can get into her mouth then cries when she realizes its not my boob.
Me too! My son was born Saturday, milk started yesterday, but over night the last two nights he only wants to be on my boob. During the day, not as demanding, but good lord, spending 30-40 mins on a boob, take him off when he falls asleep, a few minutes later he is inconsolable - back to the other boob. They hurt with lanolin and nipple butter. It has to get easier. It has to.
