I exclusively pump and bottle feed my baby my breast milk. Generally I love exclusive pumping, but sometimes it's stressful and I wish I could do a mix of both nursing and pumping. I just want to know, has anyone on here exclusively pumped for their baby, and then later gotten help and been able to nurse them again? I'm just curious. My baby is 3 months old.
To add. These days I only pump when I'm at work and occasionally at night if my son passes out before emptying me completely. We're on vacation for a family wedding now and I didn't bring my pump and I feel so free. There's another mom with us and she left her little one behind and she's been pumping.
Yes yes. I exclusively pumped for 3 months before I got my son to latch for good. One day by chance I put my boob in his mouth and he took it. I was in let down mode and I guess the timing was right. Keep pumping and keep trying. It's been over a month now and it's the best thing that could have happened. It's not easy and I still haven't figured it all out but I wouldn't go back to exclusively pumping for anything. This bond is so much better than the bond with the machine. Breast pump covered by insurance
I've already done what I needed to find out what type of pump I get covered through insurance. It turns out, with my insurance, I can't even get my pump shipped to me until I call them with all the birth details of my baby. So...wth am I supposed to do having a baby and no pump?! I plan to pump exclusively and this REALLY throws a wrench in my plans.
Brands of formula..
I am expecting baby#3 and this will be the first time I won't be exclusively bfing. For my past 2 babies.. I've never even used a pacifier so, this will be a new experience. I want to try and pump but for some reason I don't produce as much milk. Just in case...
I really want to exclusively breast feed.. my baby doesn't latch well an i can't pump more than 4 oz a day. I was to stop using formula but I have no idea how to increase my supply no matter how many times I power pump, put baby to breast, pump every 2 hours. my supply never increases as a fact it's dropped I'm barely getting 2 oz a day now :'( I feel like my body is failing me
Ladies I called my insurance about breast pump and they said with their insurance in order to get a pump I get a prescription from doctor then I call 3 different numbers to see what my insurance covers but the only thing is I have to wait til baby is born to call and get pump so I want to at least buy a hand pump which do you ladies recommend for hand pump and when I can get a pump from insurance please n thank you 💖💖
I got my free breast pump in the mail today. My insurance would only cover the Medela Advanced, but my fingers are crossed that exclusively pumping after my milk comes in will be easier than exclusively breastfeeding was 😂
Thanks so much @valrocks that's encouraging to hear!
